T. K. or Katie Berggren is a writer and playwright whose specialty is combining classical ideas and themes with modern comedy. Characters such as Cupid, Hera and the Shakespearean Quinarius Benton-Andrews appear in her comedic one-act shows and plays that display her talent and ear for dialogue.

She has also written children's stories, the most recent of which appeared in a national equestrian publication. "The Icelandic Horses Saved Christmas Eve" featured Katie's story and original drawings and was very well received. Other work includes "Nellie's Island," a story about a pony who finds her true worth on famous Mackinac Island.

Katie also is working on a culinary mystery that is set in southwest Wisconsin.
